Got diagnosed with the dang covid again this morning, gonna have to lay low for a week or two.
This will be the first time in about 40 years that I have missed the Wyoming Weapons Collectors annual gunshow in Riverton, pr0bably the best show in the state. Also will miss several of our club's shooting events.

Other than that, having a good day.

I almost croaked the first time, six days in the hospital and don't think I could survive a second go around. Lucky you, hope it goes well.

Did you get that Paxlovid medication?

It's essential. Gotta get it within five days or so of first symptoms.

Also.........take real good care of yourself--you are more likely to get "long Covid" on your second go round.
Had it twice , no meds , no vaccines……..
Second time every thing smelled and tasted like 💩!

I just finished my second time a month or so ago. Was easier than the first but both times were just like the flu

Rest a lot and drink plenty of fluids. GatorAde might be good.

Medical advice from a fellow who never set foot in medical school.

But he has stayed at a holiday inn express.
In my case, staying at a holiday inn express did not apparently improve my mental function.

I have heard my wife mutter something about "dumb as a sack of hammers" when I am not paying attention. I wonder who she is talking about.

Wife and I caught Covid last July. She had a sore throat for several days and I had a headache for 24 hours. We were vaccinated and twice boosted. Glad we were because our cases were very mild. She took Paxlovid and I had to take something else because I take a blood thinner. I looked up the alternate med and it was 34% effective. Worked for me.

Rocinante is absolutely correct, I took the Paxlovid within the first 24 hours after first symptoms
and had only heavy nasal congestion for a few days. Elevated temperature of 99 degrees for only
24 hours.
BecauseI I have stage 3 kidney disease, and was 84 at the time, the dose was reduced to 3 pills instead 5 pills.
Cautionary for kidney disease and other maladies.
Not to worry though, two doctors told me that I will never need dialysis, I will die of something else.

May GOD bless you with a speedy recovery.

Mr. York......what symptoms are you having? My last bout was nasal congestion and a 99 temperature.
None of it was bad. The worse part for me is I feel tired for several weeks.

My only indication of wuflu was a gradual loss of taste for a couple months or so.

I’ve had it twice.
I didn’t lose smell or taste exactly, but every tasted and smelled wrong.
Other than that, it felt like a cold.

I believe I had it twice. First time I felt weak and like garbage and I had a terrible uncontrollable cough (this was about a couple of months before any news mention of Covid at all). Second time weak and tired out for about an equal time period. I took nothing at all for it, both times.

A second or greater go around, you should have some immunity built up. Hope all goes well for you!

Just exactly what are they doing at these labs (Wuhan)? Guess us little pee-ons will never find out?

Perhaps when they kill a 1/3 of mankind?
