Greetings All,

I just received a strange message in a newsgroup I belong to. In it someone claimed that Clerke barrels are made in China.

Does anyone here know if this is true?

I thought they were made in house by Bo Clerke in Raton, NM (USA).

This China link just seems too far fetched.

FWIW - I just purchased the 16" Clerke barrel / Hogue stock combo from J&G sales ($99) and am very happy with it pending shooting the gun these parts were placed on

TIA,
Rob

I talked to Clerke's shop in Raton NM direct today. Per the very nice lady that answered the phone. Clerke barrels are NOT made in China. They are made right there in their shop in Raton.

FWIW - They sell direct to the public at $76.50 per barrel and will cut you a barrel to any legal length. Don't know if the custom length is extra $ because I didn't ask, but suspect not.
