Cleaning 10/22 magazine’s?

606 Views 9 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Mongoose-David
My magazine’s for my 10/22's are starting to jam. I have never cleaned them before. I keep my gun clean but since I cannot tear down the magazine, I have just left them as is. Any help would be appreciated?

It's now in the trash and I will pick up a new one tomorrow.
Good choice!!
Sometimes stuff just doesn't work, and it's a waste of time trying to make it work. I've got 4 10/22 mags and they all work flawlessly. I keep them cleaned and tuned, but if they start messing up I'll toss them in the trash like you did and give Wally World $13 for a new one.

Rifle-man,

The magazine was about 20-25 years old. It was te original one that came with my first 10/22. About five or six years ago I picked up the 10/22 Target Model, which came with two magazines. I guess that it is time that I learn to tear the magazines down and clean them.

BTW...thanks for the welcome guy’s!!! I heard about the place from Staci (a.k.a. me!).
