I was looking down the chamber of my 10/22 and noticed an interesting thing. The transition into the rifling seems to be a 90 degree angle. The rifling is cut into the bullet instead of being pressed by a quick but angled transition. Is anyone doing a slight chamfer on the leading edge of the rifling to avoid cutting lead off the bullet and instead pressing the rifle into the bullet? Are all chambers constructed the same?
