Open the bolt and push down on the top of the mag. with your thumb while holding the mag release. The mag. may be rubbing the stock, you should be able to slide a business card between the stock and the magazine on both sides. May need to remove some of the stock to make it fall out, but not to much.

Good luck

You'd have to have a mighty small thumb to reach in through the bolt opening :).

Does the magazine drop easily when the action is out of the stock? If so you do indeed need to remove a bit of material from the side(s) of the magazine well in your stock. On a wooden stock I ve had good luck using a metal scale as a scraper to adjust the magazine well. I've never done this operation on a synthetic stock. The business card as a feeler gauge is a good suggestion.

Thanks guys, finally got it to work....just wasnt pushing on the release hard enough I guess.

What's the best extended mag release to get...the most comfortable to use?

I use BC 25 round mags if that makes a difference.
