BX is a decent trigger for most people. I’ve had 5 10/22’s still own 4. Every one has a different trigger, from a custom clean up job on a stock trigger on up to a timney. For me, there can be too light of a pull. I have tried custom cz’s with 8 ounce pulls, that’s way too light for me, even on the bench.
I work with my hands, so my fingers are pretty strong. And years of abusing them means they don’t have the nerve response they used to have. So 2 1/2 pounds is really low for me. 3 1/2 pound triggers are pretty good for me, and even a 6 pound trigger isn’t awful.
More than pull weight it is the take up, smoothness of pull, and break of the trigger that matters to me. Overtravel doesn’t matter that much to me either. Granted I am not competing, just enjoying making holes in paper or hitting clay pigeons.
I have a couple low end drop-in triggers on ARs, and on any AR I at least do the poor man’s trigger job to minimize the take-up. A crisp trigger matters more to me than pull weight.
