The hammers are only better because the engagement surfaces are at less positive angles than oem . And they are polished . You can diy. Buy a VQ hammer, or kit, buy a kidd drop in kit( best choice, more parts) but still need to polish the hammer strut, the reurn spring detent and hole , maybe add a wolff spring kit, shims etc.
