well im laughing as i am writing this because i did not predict running into this issue.

so i am installing my new burris high zee rings on my mark II BV rifle.....i tighten them and realize that i can still shake the rings from side to side.....there is play....is this normal?

note: i didnt over tighten but tightened enough to feel resistance.

i just had to tighten them much more...first time doing this and i thought that there was a lot of tension before....apparently not....

Well I was just gonna say.....I had the same issue, same gun, same rings. You just gotta put some elbow grease into it till they get tight!

Same here. I would suggest covering up the surrounding area with a rag or towel or something to protect rifle and rings. One slip of the screwdriver while elbow grease is being applied, and the resulting scratch could be nasty. Good rings, but those slotted screws should really be hex-key or torx.

was thinking the same thing Speed. actually i did not slip but i deformed the flathead slot in the screw....**** it!
