I'm wanting to build a bullpup 10/22 only I want to make it with a bull barrel. Has anyone altered these stocks to accept a bull barrel? What about triggers? Anyone found neat tricks for triggers on a bullpup? If you put a tigger job on the 10/22 will the bullpup notice?

The next level of insanity.

Lets say I want to dispose of the open sights and mount a red dot to it. Does the stock hold the reciever tight enough to allow mounting of optics to the stock? I will not hesitate to cut the carry handle and front sight post off of it and mount an elevated weaver rail.

I think I'm sane

I just got done looking at Cheif dave's Bullpups. I'm am sane compared to him. I really like the too fister. I've had problems with having scopes too high off of the bore of the barrel (pistols mostly). The gun is on at the sight in distance but low any closer and high any further.

Cheif Dave, Does your bullpups have this problem. I want to be able to hit a quarter at 5-50 yrds with this thing.

Is it possible?

Found a donor gun

At the local gun shop there's a 10/22 with the $188 volquartsen trigger group in it for $200. If it's still there it's mine.

with the VQ trigger? run, run fast and hard, get that sucker!! I really like my VQ trigger, but I haven't tried a Kidd to compare it to.

the money you save will buy you more dremel accessories

The biggest problem with the bullpup is the sight height.
One can remove the carry-handle and front sight , but it is
somewhat hard to cover the remaining areas.
The bull barrel can be used with a little modfication to the stock.

Trigger = Any improvement done to the factory trigger will be
noticable to the bullpup . The linkage only adds 1/2 pound pull to the existing trigger.

I missed the 10/22 by a couple of hours. It went for 200.

Why do I always have to find a use for something before I think about buying it?

Dave, Did you miss the tornado? I watched it go past my apartment about 200yrds away. I live in Gladstone KCMO.
