Depends on which model.
I've heard lots of people say that the settings are inconsistent and the optics suck.
Suposedly the Japanese made ones are better.
I have the 4-16x50 A/O Contender Target, it was made in China.
I only paid $45 for it used.
My settings will stay consistent, but yes, the optics do suck.
However, looking at what I paid for it and seeing as how it works well enough for me then it's a great scope.
If you're gonna pay full price for a new one I would get another brand. The Bushnell Banner line is about the same price but the optics are a hell of a lot better.
My scope is a little yellowish and at full power you get internal glare.
That still doesn't stop me from seeing the bull's eye though.
