I can't speak for the standard weight 1710,but I have a 1710D HW that will shoot one ragged hole all
day long with Wolf MT or Lapua M, and even American Eagle. I can be sure to average
less than 3/8" with the Wolf MT. At 50 yds. My
best are un measurable, Five shots that look like one bullet hole. The rifle does weigh over 9 lbs with scope. I'm 61 yrs. old and carry a 12 lb. shiloh sharps afield. Nine lbs. feels light. I can't say absolutly that the heavey barrel will be more accurate, but that has always been my experience. Either one will probably be the most accurate rimfire you'll ever own.
