I have a guy who is competing in the email matches and wants to know if is 1416D HB would qualify for the sporter match. For weight he looks okay, but what is the blue book value of a new 1416D HB? It would have to be at $500 or under to qualify for the sporter match.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

For quite a few years you could...

get a 1416 HB for under $500. Anschutz dealers use MSRP as a starting point and negotiate down from there. Some dealers stick to MSRP and others price way down.

Thats a bad point to most of the used firearms price books. They watch price trends in several key areas around the Country to see what average prices are being paid for guns of different conditions. Very few of those books reflect the premium price that certain areas demand for certain firearms. But they do give you a general idea of what to expect when shopping for used guns.

Thats true...

because theres even discrepencies in the Anschutz line. Some are far more desirable than others.

Supply-demand applies to other manufacturers keeping the price down, but certain Anschutz model prices are inflated by lack of supply. Eurodollar fluctuations also have hurt Anschutz pricing as of late.
