Sorry to say Jury still out on performance of new BKL scope base. Has some bugs which hopefully can be worked out.

What kind of issues are you having?

I spoke with the folks at BKL when I got mine, sent them some dimensions and they made up a base that actually went back over the receiver a bit. It fit like it grew out of the gun and only cost me $20. A heck of a deal for a "custom" base.

They run them in batches and took 3-4 weeks to get mine but it was worth it.

I am not sure who I talked to down there, Dave I think, but they are very helpful and will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. If you haven't yet then give them a call.
