Early this week out of curiosity and boredom, I made a local go look at guns trek.
Just to look not to buy, until something caught my eye, something that I did not have but always was interested.
So I snatched it up.
Beretta U22 Neos in used but excellent condition. One I have never seen. Green top rail and green inserts in the grips.
Brought it home, broke it down, cleaned and shined it up, then did some investigation.

Looks like it is a Limited Edition, exclusive to Cabela's from 2007 and was listed as a Black Friday Deal that year.
Can not find any other listings other than some older closed sales on Guns America and GunBroker.

Just ordered some spare magazines at a very reasonable price, should be here first of next week.
Can't wait to go to the Range and sight her in.

You are going to want to pick up 2 or 3 extra extractors, an extractor plunger, and an extractor spring. These are the weak link in the gun. I have broken 2 on mine. Classic Firearms. I will be doing some shooting, so I will need the parts.

+1 on the Trigger Shoe recommendation. It just over all feels better with one. Lou, nice job scoring the green! I always wanted that version. My guess is you will love it. It's a great shooting gun and fun to shoot. I recommend getting some dry lube for it. It worked better on mine than oil.

Great information you provided for the trigger shoe, I will get one. Just cleaned and oiled it up, if it does not run well with the oil, I will try Frog Lube, it seems to work very well on all the .25 ACP pocket pistols I went crazy collecting over the years when I was able to pick them up in pawn stores for $70.00 & up. If the Frog Lube fails, then I will use powdered graphite. Works well in sandy , windy areas & frigid temps.

+1 on Trigger shoe. I did have a trigger job on it to eliminate the "drag/scrunch"; it breaks cleanly now. I also bought and installed a green fiber optic front sight. I have shot it with a T/C 1.5 scope and also with a Tasco red dot. It is accurate enought for bullseye although I have High Standards for that sport. I have shot Eley Target, Eley Club, Aguila Standard Velocity, Norma TAC22, Winchester Dyna Point, Remington Thunderbolts, Federal HV, and old Sears HV though it, probably over 200 rounds total in initial testing since I received as a gift. I've only had one failure to feed.

Years ago, I was told to only shoot copper washed in semi automatic .22's.
I use soft lead bullets in bolt action, lever action and revolvers. All failures to feed were eliminated. It is my rule for me. Some do shoot soft lead in semi with no problems. Must depend on the gun and brand. But I bought some used that the receivers were littered with small, scratchy fragments of lead. Cleaned them out real good and lubricated and only shot copper washed.
No more little lead fragments. I shall continue the practice on this firearm.
It is just my rule for myself. I avoid Thunderbolts except in bolt action &revolvers, they work really well in those guns.

As to the trigger shoe, I'll second the recommendation, and being able to match the color to my blue-gripped Neos was an added bonus. Unfortunately, I don't see a green option in the shoe I purchased: Ballistic Specialties Beretta Trigger Shoe . . . . Gold maybe?

I've never paid much attention to what ammo I load into the Neos, because it shoots everything with nary a hiccup.

That green color, especially the top rail, is just too cool; definitely a keeper. Congrats on the find!

Neos Update,
Just installed a Green Trigger Shoe (BRILEY brand) Green Fiber Optic Sight and ordered extra extractors, pins and springs, and extra magazines (Now have 6 total). Going to the country tomorrow afternoon to do some more sighting in and plinking.

I have contemplated one of these for quite some time..I have some very nice older Berettas..But was on the fence on the Neos..I just do not like Plastic at all on any Firearm..But last Gun Show I bought one..If it had not been a Beretta, I would not have been able to overlook the Plastic..

Only had it out once so far..But it performed flawlessly like Berettas do..I bought the Black 6.5 Barrelled one..I like it a lot..

Yes I am also interested in the trigger shoe.
My gunsmith polished my trigger and it is a little better but trigger shoe might make my groups better. Could you post some pictures of the groups your shooting at like 15- 20 yards ? Thanks. Marty

I too bit the bullet yesterday and picked up a sweet Neos. I went to my LGS with nothing in mind, and ended up walking out with this beauty that literally looks like it was bought new, put away, and never used. It came with all the original goodies to boot. I've had one in the past and know all the shortfalls, but I couldn't resist something like this in "like new" condition. Of course, the first thing I did was order a green FO front sight from EWK.
