:( i saw a lot of bedding techniques in this forum & i learned a lot from it. my question is why is it that either the pillar is drilled & enlarged or only the screw area is metal or jb bedded. why not use the metal trick in the whole area from the screw to the "v" block or lug so that the whole action is sitting on a wide & hard surface area ..... then bed the barrel channel 2-3"... :( any comments? .... ideas ... advices ? thanks.....

This one looks O.K.Basically,this is how it looks after it has set up.The front action area was bedded.I left the rear alone. The barrel channel has about 3" in it and a small bubble which is easily fixed.Good luck.
