I use a protektor bunny ear rear bag on my American and all my rifles. With leather you use baby powder on the ears to make them slick so the rifle slides easy. With cordura you use a silicone spray. Baby powder is cheaper and no aerosols to polute the environment.
My rear bag has the double bottom I like it a lot bought it from Sinclair International.

Baby powder will not hurt the leather. No you don't have to use anything on the bags but you want the rifle to slide when it recoils and the powder helps do that.

Thanks!

Will the baby powder ruin the leather over time? Does one HAVE to use these products on their bags?
