I just got my re barreled B14R back from Rick Barton. I ended up going with a 26" Lilja, MTU contour, 1:16 twist, 4 groove tight bore with a 22 Nevius chamber. Can't wait till the crap weather lifts so I can get an accuracy report. It's suppose to be cold and windy for the next few days. (n)

I shot three groups that I was extremely happy with. It was a quick set so I don't have a thorough report yet. I'll get one soon though. These two groups were shot with my old lot of Midas + @ 50.

NICE!!👍💪🏻😎
Just to clarify - you only shot those 3 groups total, or are those 3 best groups out at a larger number?
Great shooting and results either way 👍😊
Jerry-

It's fairly old tech as I've seen posts about the Lilja tight bore RF barrels back to 2008 or so. I read quite a few posts that claimed they shot really well to not any better than a standard bore. I've also seen a few "standard" rimfire barrels that were .215 tight at the muzzle and they were shooters, so I just decided to give it a try. I also left it as long as possible just to see how it went. All in all it really goes against the grain of "what just won on Sunday" but I like to try things out. I will be getting some chrono data on the gun as soon as I can.

Thank You Sir.....I'll be looking for the chony data. (y)

I only got to shoot five groups of five total with the good ammo. I had very limited time and was the first time I shot it so I was trying to dial the scope in and just send some foulers down the tube. I was running CCI Standard velocity at first. Switched to Midas +, dialed the scope shot a 5 shot group, then to XAct for two 5 shot groups, then back to Midas + for one more group. I’ll definitely get a range report on it as soon as possible with a full target shot. We usually shoot the PSL targets. Oh, and the lot of Midas that I do have continuously outperforms the XAct lot I have in all of my guns.
