Hi Everyone,

Has any one used the 15 oz. 18" WhistlePig barrels? I need to lighten one of my Ruger's and thought I'd try a Whistlepig.

My concern is that "Can something that light in weight. Made of Aluminum" be sturdy, strong, and accurate. What about the life expectancy?

Any thoughts or comments?
Thanks,
Bruce

stinga,
I shot a 17HMR that had a lightweight Whistlepig barrel on it.Best I can recall the group was less than 1/4" at fifty yards and 5 shots. It was a shooter.Didn't get to try at 100yds.

I have Two right now
I love them both, so do the wife and both kids.
I dont really shoot to measure groups, both have been very accurate for our use, Well under 1 in @ 50yrds.
We mostly shoot squirals, rabbits, crows, turtles, cans, golf balls
Ect.
My 9 yr old can hit a soda can all day @ 100yrds
My two kids will burn up ammo as fast as i give it to them and had no problems shooting/plinking all day with out cleaning.
I am going to get the 10/17 barrel soon
Louis is a great guy give him a call or email him
