Anyone remember these magazines?

I was rearranging stuff and dug this old thing up.

Old ramline 50rd magazine. I filled it up and popped off some rounds. And guess what? It didn’t jam! Admittedly, I retired it long ago because it caused my gun to be a jam o matic. Little did I know about the floppiness of the magazine back then causes that. I stretch all my mag plunger springs when assembling a new rifle or disassembling one that hasn’t had it done. Guess that did the trick! And I shot it in a stock gun I haven’t don’t anything to yet. No bolt modifications, only thing is a plunger spring stretch. I kinda wish they still made these.

I had two and they both split from the bottom up. Unfortunately they eventually went to file 22.
After all these years mine is somehow still together lol
are those the ones with the metal feed lips, or the all plastic ones...

I have one of the all plastic ones around here somewhere, and it's a piece of garbage...I think it's Chaser that says they're only good for doorstops...:(
I agree. Garbage. Plastic lips is what it has.
I’m glad I could bring back some memories for you gents. Good or bad I guess. 😂

but hey, if you have some, don’t want them but hate to throw stuff away, I’ll give them a good home! I bet i could get em to work. Maybe. I like a challenge!

I know where there are couple new in packages. Never seen a use for them now giving the costs of ammo.
Well let me know. Heck, I could swap you some ammo for em. I have all sorts of stuff.

you have an AR-7 or SKS?...maybe, I'll send you some more "junk" :giggle:
I don’t unfortunately. I traded my sks for an sig p365. I always wanted an ar7 and went to buy one from academy a while back but ended up buying/building my first 10/22 takedown instead. I did a bunch of reading and research on the ar7 and it was pretty interesting.
I like this thread. :)

Me too. Good ride down memory lane.
I remember when gun shows had them. And that’s when gun shows were worth going to.

I was just lamenting, again!, losing my Mitchell mag in a trade that I never should have made.
Is that the same thing

Looks like it. Conveyor belt delivery system. Can't buy one in this state these days.
O. Can you have pre ban stuff? Or buy used?
I'm so glad I finally got out of the communist states of NY and NJ, and moved to the state of AZ to retire in...don't have to deal with that kind of stuff anymore
I live in Louisiana, and we usually don’t have firearms regulations issues. We seem to kinda fly under the radar thankfully.
seems like the closer you get to a coastline on either the east or west of the country the more crazies you get...
It appears that you are correct. Although, I’m in Destin Florida on vacation right now, and we were at crab island on a pontoon boat, in the middle of the bay….and I saw a woman with a mask on, on a boat next to us. No one else with her had a mask, and it was covering just her mouth. When I see stuff like that, I know I’m looking at a crazy.
