It can be done you will need to remove metal from the hammer. Best left to a gunsmith or someone who has done a lot of trigger work on lever actions.

My trigger is almost like a two stage when you account for the creep. I get a little take-up and then its a crisp 5.5 lbs. I could go for about 2 lbs lighter.
