There may be a semiauto 5mm Mag one day, but it won't be the blowback action like the one used in the 10/22. The 17 HMR is a bit much for a blowback action, as witnessed by the problems Remington had with the 17 HMR 597. The 5mm Mag is loaded to much higher pressures.
