I found a 1700 in the standard grade. It looks new and even comes with the box. The guy that has it wants 800.00. Is this a fair price? Is the 1700 the same as the 1710? Any info would be appreciated.

From what I've seen out there in the world of Anschutz that is a great price! If you can check it out, Make sure it ejects, And the muzzle looks good. That is a nice find. If I were in to 54s I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. Merry Christmas!

1700s for $870 in 2001 and complaining that 1710s are now up to $1100 in 2003. The good old days.
Wonder what a 1710 or whatever the equivalent model will sell for 14 years from now?

And I paid $525 for a 1422 in 1984.
14 years for now? No matter to me-I'll be pushing up daisies by then.
The OP must have found something in the last 14 years.
