Was just wondering if I could use my BV with this cheek piece installed for the shoots on the forum. ie. offhand challenge, and the bulk ammo challenge. It says in the rules no adjustable cheek pieces, but this one is not adjustable, unless you carry a belt sander to the range, lol.

Thanks, now I just gotta find time to get to the range. I've only had her out once so far this summer. The weather hasn't been fit! We've had rain just about every day since April, lol.

A non-adjustable one shouldn't be a problem it is only the adjustable cheek pieces that are covered.

Vincent will let us know for sure though. I have thought about a lace on one for my Trainer carbine with its hogs back stock.

Got to turn loose mine and my daughters Savage, then there will be 2 more in the fray.

I do NOT make the rules for this forum. I type up what is voted by the members.

The current rule is "No Adjustable" cheekpiece. Any cheek piece may be added as long as it is not adjustable. That was the way WE wrote the rules.

It is my personal feeling this is a good rule but even it is subject to change anytime the members want vote differently.

i voted YES to that cheekpiece as it is non adjustable and is a slap on
thingee. actually, thinking of something similiar for one of my rigs,

I don't have an issue with it.

Providing cday posts ALL the pertinent info regarding: said cheekpiece, scope, rings, bipod, any and all mods, what has been done to the stock to bring out that nice luster, the BV's fav ammo, details about that awesome iron fireplace, what kind of wood was in the fire when the pic was taken, the make/model of the red vacuum cleaner in the background, its efficiency expressed as a ratio of parts-per-million particles captured divided by airflow in cubic feet per minute, and.............

It appears...(from the single photo provided)....that the brick work around the wood burning stove is code compliant, assuming those are certifided fire bricks.....:Modified_

You'll need to post the rating certificate for those bricks before you even think about shooting that rifle around here pal......

Hmm, where to start, lol.

Cheek piece I made myself out of fibreglass. It's just slipped on over the stock with a bit of rubber in between to prevent marring.

Scope - Bushnell Elite 3200 4x12x40 AO

Rings - I can't even remember, nothing special, the only pair at the shop that day that were the right height!

Bipod - Harris Ultralight HBLM-S 9-13"

Mods - Trimmed Accutrigger spring. Pull is down to a about 1 pound.

Stock - Silicone cloth.

Ammo - Not a great lot of different ammo to choose from around here. I managed to get my hands on some Eley Club Xtra a while ago, it seems to like that pretty good. Out of the cheap stuff I've found Dynapoints about the best of what I've tried. I would love to get my hands on some Lapau, Wolf, etc... but nobody here stocks anything like it.

Now, on to the other questions, lol.

Woodstove - Don't know the brandname. It isn't very big but man does that thing throw heat! I've seen 110 degrees plus here in the rec room in the middle of February.

Wood - Spruce.

Vacuum - Kenmore Special Edition 12.0 Amp.

Effieciency - Ask the missus, lol.

Spitoon - just some ceramic decoration thingy, there's also a copper kettle there next to it.

Bricks - Those bricks are from a chimney that was over 100 years old!

Did I miss anything? lol.

Managed to get in for a few minutes this evening for a sight in. After I got it good to go I shot 3, 5 shot groups for a group average of .260 with the smallest being .202 using CCI Green tags. That was all I could manage and I had to leave, I was lying on an ant hill and the flies were thick enough to lug you away, lol.
