I finally broke down and had my FFL buddy order me a Marlin 17V, or should I say back order me one. He had already received some close out Tasco Scopes (I couldn't pass up $60 for a 6-24x 40mm). Do I remember correct from the old posts that the factory rings aren't high enough for that scope?

Tree rat season ends in a couple of weeks. But hopefully it will arrive in time for the groundhogs coming out in the spring.

I suppose I should put in the order to midsouth for the ammo and see which shows up first.

a good supply of ammo,might even want
to get a couple of boxes from some of the other suppliers who have them in stock.Just in case th rifle comes in early.

I ordered mine too, can't wait I got the same scope on a closeout deal as well (6x18x42mm target). Let me know on those rings, I've not heard anything about fit.


The ground squirels will be out in about 6 weeks.

No problem finding ammo. Tons of places have it online. Or you could ask your local gunshop to order you some in.
