I just got a 77/17.

I've read thru the posts, and I'm still confused about the best trigger.

Being inexperienced in gunsmithing, I need one that would be simple to install and that would use the factory safety.

Your advice will certainly be heeded and appreciated!

Kimberman,
The Timney sear is good, as are several of the other good brand sear/hammers. If you want adjustable the Dayton Traister trigger is hard to beat. You have several options...Go to Brownells web sight and do a search for 77/22 (triggers are the same) wade through everything and price compare. The drop ins are pretty simple.
