How in the crap do you get the 597 metal magazines apart to clean them? The manual says to squeez the sides of the mag and pull off the bottom. However, I have a feeling they didn't change the manual when they switched to metal mags. Now I can't seem to be able to take mine apart. Is there a trick?

I use a small screwdriver in one of the notches on the base plate. Pry gently.
