I just looked at a 52c heavy barrel. Its in about 97% condition. It doesnt have the sights. It has had weaver mounts installed. The seller is asking $800. Is this a fair price?

Sounds like a good price. I paid $500 about 5 years ago for a 52C that has good metal, but the stock had been chopped and re-attached in 4 sections. No sights. Mine was made in 1961.

If the reciever has been drilled and tapped for weaver mounts, then that price is too high. The barrel should have scope blocks for the old target type scopes, Unertls, Lyman, Fecker. I would think it would be in the $500 range.
