455 17mach II barrel

Don't know anything about them, another barrel supplier would be good.

Lilja's had replacement 22LR barrels for a couple months now. There's a few threads about them including 2 of my own. Last time anybody talked to him the Mach II barrels were a ways off though. He wanted to get the HMR barrels out first.

I've never even heard of McGowan barrels. Much less shot one. I couldn't tell you whether they are accurate or not.

I did a little searching after seeing this post. It appears that some of the older barrels where not so good. There are new owners of the company and they appear to have made improvements in their process, and have gotten some good reviews. Probably not up to the quality of a Lija, but not bad nonetheless. As I am very interested in the possibility of a HM2 barrel for the 455 this may call for more investigation.

Out of curiosity what'd say it'd cost for the barrels?

We never discussed the price yet. I am thinking about getting a dodecagon custom tapered barrel. I am gonna send up the rifle so they can get some patterns made.

On their site the pre-fit barrels are going from $245.00 to about $388.00. Maybe Schnable will pop in and let us know what he was quoted for 455 barrels.
