452 HMR17 American Scope mount; help needed

530 Views 12 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  fw707
Well I received my CZ American the other day. To my dismay the scope is set too low for the Leupold 4-12 Rifleman scope that was installed. I believe the rings are Burris. It appears that I need new higher rings. At least 1/4 inch higher. Right now the bolt hits the scope when I pull it all the way back. Also the scope is not positioned for proper eye relief due to restrictions by the bolt. Can anyone tell me what type of rings I should be asking for? Does Burris make higher rings? Help appreciated.

I've got either BKL or BSquare...

and they do a great job with a BSA 17 HMR bullet drop compensator scope.

The scope sounds impressive and functions fine, but isn't exactly Swarovski glass. The drop compensator works pretty good. Its centered but low an inch at 200 yards. Not left or right, just an inch low. Thats easily adjusted for.

I went with a set of Medium Millet rings for my 3X9X33mm scope and it works fine. I personally prefer the Millet rings myself. :t
Well hello there, Maytom!
I like the Milletts too. ;)
