I am relatively new to shooting, but have some years in the military and have instructed at Ft. Lewis M-16 and 1911 ranges in the early 70's. I have not owned a weapon for almost 25 years.
The first time I took my CZ .17HMR Varmint (no mods) to the range, I shot a couple of sub .5 inch 5 shot groups at 25 yards and a .5 inch group at 50 yards. Two weeks later I shot a .71 inch 5 shot group at 100 yards. I was shooting off of 2 well worn 4X4's covered with carpet and no rear support except my shoulder. I am not prone to good shooting, so I'd say the gun is very accurate.
I am looking forward to getting a Caldwell front rest and Protektor rear bag just to see what happens.
