I put alot of Eley tenex down my tubes over the years. And when Eley made the change to the EPS I liked it. I even tried the match
EPS and had excellent results. Then this spring It happened. A championship match was lost due to a hot round! I knew as soon as it went off. My Leupold told the rest of the story. A high 8 at 1 o clock. Every one of the other shots up to that point was a deep center. Then bang! high eight! what! Every shot after was a center. I continued on to complete the course (100 shot indoor prone championship) and never droped another point. After the match the guys and gals all said they heard shot also (loud)! I was a little peeved but I had no control over the shot it was a hot round. So after I said to myself it cost the championship so thats the end of the Match EPS. Only Ultimate EPS from now on. Well it worked for awhile then it happened again with The ultimate and I was not the only one. This was 50 meter prone 1600 and several people stated that they have had the same wild rounds. However they are few and far between. Ok so it wasan't me whew! Final answer ....Two and a half cases of SK Jag Match gold and not one hot flier! And They are consistant as anythig I have ever fired. Can anyone guess whats going to Perry with me this year!:p

Weight sorting

If I were to shoot bench rest I would think about it because of the number of shots involved which is few compared to the ammo needed for a two day 2400 3 position event or a two day 3600 prone event ; let alone two weeks at Perry over 5k. I would ware out a scale! I does make sense for bench rest but not for smallbore 3p or prone. Spend time practicing and just pay attention to lots and brands that shows outstang consistancy. I do not need one hole ammo I need ammo that can hold the x ring consistanly. I know that sounds stupid but if I get a lot of ammo that will hold .300 at 50 meters I can win with it.
