Gordon: not exactly when. Mine is a 2000 model and has the steel handle. I suspect sometime late 2001 or early 2002 since that is when I first heard of it.
1710 bolt handle
Anyone know roughly when Anschutz started using the screw-on bolt knobs vs. the single piece metal bolt handles? I think I'd like to get a 1710, but would prefer the one-piece metal bolt handle. Thanks!
