I am thinking about purchasing a used 1451 from a gun shop.
It is in excellent condition.
What is this gun worth?
What action is this gun built on?
Any other information would be apreciated.

The 1451 is an action all its own. It is not a 64 or a 54 action. They are avaiable for around $350 new (I think). You would proably be happier with a 64 action over the 1451. It all depends on what you want to do with it. Anschutz makes the 1451 as an entry level youth position rifle.

1451 Sporters

There are sporter models for adults that aren't bad squirrel guns. You can usually get one for around $200-250. The trigger pull is heavy and needs work.

I have a cheap 4-12 Banner and shoot around .4"-.55", five shot groups at 50 yards. They are light and easy to carry.

These make great rifles for kids or small adults.

The trigger is adjustable to some degree but you can't get a really nice trigger pull on these like you can on other models.
