Got the 1416 today. Looks to be a fine rifle. The trigger pull is 2.5 lbs. as stated but has about an eighth of an inch of creep in it. I see in the instruction book that it does has two adjustment screws. Can any one tell me how to remove some of the creep?

There is a screw on the side of the trigger. This adjusts the creep out. Cock the gun and screw the screw in until it releases then back it out 1/4 turn or so. Lighter springs are available from ten ring services.

pdeal is right...

there is a small screw on the side of trigger that eliminates creep. The owners manual makes the adjustment more complicated than it actually is. Taking the rifle out of the stock is more work than the turning of the screw.

You will see a dramatic improvement.
