I've used the Leapers one piece. It's a great mount. The "high" mount is indeed high. Unless you have a scope with a large front bell, a "medium" height is probably more what you'll be wanting:

Of course, it depends on the size scope you are installing. On a "high" Leapers, something like a 4x32 scope will sit up there very high, more like a carrying handle than a scope.

Congrats on the new rifle, I love mine!

This single piece mount is considered the best way to eliminate ring movement. I love mine (Had to get the high profile one for my scope tho)

Probably the best price on mags

A utg airgun mount holds up on a 22?

      I have 2 extra scopes to use on my 795,either a nikon prostaff 3x-9,or a centerpoint 4-16x.

I'm guessing that ironsight adapter means see-through mount? Those put the scope real high which adds to the top-heavy feel. I don't think the scope is too big.

      I used this:
      http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Airgun-Me...=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1331667794&sr=1-3

It's similar to the other one posted here, but cheaper - it's the 1" version for most scopes. It doesn't allow use of open sights, but it's solid as a rock, and cheap to the pocketbook. Big scopes look really big on the small stocks of most 22 rifles, but they're nice to shoot. I usually shoot mine from a bench or bipod though. If you're dead-set on using iron sights too, you'll need a cheek-rest at minimum to be able to comfortably shoot that - a high one!

Mine looks HUGE with the original stock on my 60:

But I think it looks right at home with the Boyds stock:

I have two of the Accushot mounts for my 60, one for 1" scope tubes and a second for 30mm scope tubes. Both are medium profile, the 1" mount has been perfect since it was installed over a year ago. The 30mm hasn't been tested on the 60 yet, but I don't see any reason for it to be a problem.

I'm guessing your scope has a 1" tube.

i would recommend the burris signature rimfire & airgun rings http://www.burrisoptics.com/sigrings.html

      or something like this http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Airgun-Me...qid=1389564959&sr=8-1&keywords=22+scope+mount

you can find all sorts of options here http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...words=22 scope mount&sprefix=22+scope,aps,209

i have used both set ups and they both work but i prefer the Burris rings since you can adjust them for both windage and elevation with inserts and they wont damage the finish on the scope tube.

I used a UTG air rifle mount (medium height) and mounted it to the receiver. I was using a 3x9x40mm Nikon Prostaff Rimfire II, which might be similar in profile to what you're using.

I didn't have to remove the rear sight because I was able to mount it and get the proper eye relief, but your scope may be different and might contact the rear sight. If you're willing to shift the mount forward / backwards though, you may find the sweet spot to allow it.

Excuse my ignorance, but most air rifles of today have 11mm dovetail. Can't
find specs on the dovetail on the M60 (assuming 3/8"). Does the UTG mount
keep the scope centered with the bore?

Just got a M60 this past weekend, and that UTG mount looks like a great
      addition for a 40mm scope!
