I like to use my Atlas BT65-LW17 Gen 2 Bipod via the picatinny mount so I can move it between rifles. Originally I bought a
Lion Gears Swivel Stud Picatinny Rail Adapter AS-S2W03 for my Ruger American Predator and it worked, but it started getting beat up quickly because it uses soft aluminum.
I've changed my Ruger stock to use a Magpul Hunter so I don't need it there anymore so I decided to put it on my CZ 457 Varmint MTR and it's an eyesore on that gorgeous stock. I also want something better built.
By looking at things on Amazon, the
S.R.A. (Swivel Rail Adapter) by MIM Mfg seems to be the one to get and the much cheaper
Caldwell Pic Rail Adaptor Plate seems to review almost as well and is much cheaper.
The problem with all of these is that they assume a more traditional rounded forestock vs the flat benchrest stock of my CZ 457 Varmit MTR. As such, I'm wondering if there are other choices I should be considering?
If you've got one that works for you and is holding up to above average use, what did you get?
