New Simmons 22 Mag Scopes w/ Truezero

I noticed that some places are clearing out the older 22 Mag scopes since the new models are out with "TrueZero" and QTA (Quick Target Acquisition) eyepiece. Has anybody compared the two? Is this the old make a minor change and sell as the "new and inproved" trick?

THANK!

Jr.

Meade (the telescope company) bought Simmons and Redfield and are putting their telescope expertise to good use in redesigning the riflescope lines. There's an article in one of this months gun magazines about it. Sorry, I don't recall which one.

According to a call I received late last week from Simmons (Meade) the new "Master Series" scopes are beginning to be produced. They are starting with the lower powers and working up and should have them all to market by September.

I talked to a rep. at Simmons today, 7-05-05. I have had one one order for two months.
He told me pretty much the same as was told to Old Swede.
He said the lower powers like the 3-9 were trickling out now but, the higher powers like the ProHunter 6-21 and 6-24 will not be available till August.

I was promised two of the scopes with side focus from the new master series back in the spring so I can do T&E. I haven't received one yet. When I do I will post my report here, but the way it is looking everybody will have one before I even know what they look like.
