Zastava+Mueller what rings?

So last night I go to our local gun shop with the intention of buying a Savage MkII .22lr as a first rifle for myself and young 13 year old son to enjoy together. They had no Savage MkII in stock at the time but the staff there convinced me that a Zastava 22lr would be a good value all round gun for my son and I to start out with as he could learn to shoot open sights and still be able to mount a scope later.
My problem is I have already ordered a Mueller APV scope from the US and I am just waiting for it to arrive. I had all my ring needs sorted for the Savage(signature Zees) but I have no idea what rings I will need now that we have a Zastava instead.
Any help would be appreciated.
I can't tell you how much I love this site for help and info.
Thanks everybody.
Cheers

Your rings should work, just make sure the bases you get will work with the rings and mount to the gun. If the rings mount to the groves machined into the reciever then they should work on either gun. If the rings are standard weaver tip off style then yo will need bases to fit the gun. Shouldn't be a big deal.

dugasgunner ... Z5

dugasgunner ... good-looking Z5.
If only ... Remington had offered the Z5 in walnut instead of laminated wood,
I think the little rimfire may have found success in the U.S. market.

The same goes for the centerfire Zastava rifles imported by Remington.

I agree with that. But I think some folks are not interested in buying a "real" Rem or Winchester, or whatever, if they are not made in the USA. I do have a Z5 in WMR and it is an excllent rifle and a bargain.

If Winchester or Remington had not re-branded the Zastava or TOZ products as their own.
I think people would have accepted the Serbian Z5 and Russian TOZ 78-14 in the market place.

The American consumer is not stupid.
Dealing honestly with the domestic gun buyer would have paid-off.
