Izhmash Biathlon 7-2 Bolt?

Log in to see fewer ads
Good day to all of you. This is my first post but a long time lurker here. After browsing through this (russian rimfire) forum I knew that I certain part of that rifle looks familiar to me. It is the "TOGGLE" part of the bolt assembly that I got from a "parts-o-box" in a gunshow in Kansas city. But the problem is it did not have the BOLT part with it. I was thinking of fabricating it myself and build a rifle around it more like a FRANKEN-BUILT 22 rifle. I hope you guys dont mind me asking if I can get some measurements and photo of the bolt for further studies. Thanks a bunch folks.

And I have been looking all over the web, looking for a exploded drawing or schematic of the action. With no results so far. Can anyone here point me in the right direction, or give a link, or something?

Thanks for any help.

thanks a bunch Midwest swiss for the photo. Do you happen to know the space between the rear protrusion of the bolt and and front part of the toggle?

No ... not really.
Not many BI 7-2KO owners have component parts photos.
Much less ... dimensional measurements.

I might do a few simple measurement's.....but not going to sit down & draw a blue print....
You all need to buy a donor rifle.

On a fixed income buying a donor rifle ain't in the cards. But, if I can get enough info, then making my own version could be.
Now to finish my present gun build, so I can get on to the next one.
Thanks for the photos, they'll help. Measurements? Measurements? Don' need no steenkin' measurements.

Thanks for the excellent photos Midwest swiss they are very informative to us D.I.Y people. Do you happen to know the diameter of the bolt? I guess it is just 3/4inch from the picture. I wish I am "stateside" right now so I can salvage some parts from existing firearms for this build. I am currently assigned here in S.E Asia and that rifle is ideal for IPSC rimfire competition here. But I have to roll-up my sleeves and make it from scratch.

Thanks aom22 for making this a "stickey" thread.

You can add my thanks too, along with thanks for the movies and measurements. Can't say the measurements mean much to me, if I make one it's gonna be .45ACP, not .22. But, one never knows. Thanks.
