I'd like to modify them for my new Winchester Wildcat. I also like the idea of having steel magazines. Are there any current sources?

CFS has 10rd TOZ-78 magazines. They're calling them Wildcat magazines now, but I'm pretty sure they're take-outs from the batch of TOZ-78s that CFS had for sale in '07:

I don't think I've ever seen an all steel TOZ 78 magazine.

I don't know about "all" steel, but the threads with comparison photos appear to show a steel magazine. Maybe I wasn't looking closely enough.

Thank you! The price is sure a lot better than OEM.

You're welcome.

BTW, all TOZ-78 magazines are plastic.

Drat. Are there any steel alternatives that can be modified to fit?

I think what you see is what you get.

TOZ-78/Wildcat mags have a thick rib molded into the front of the mag body. This is so that the notch for the mag catch can be cut to match each individual rifle. I doubt you're going to find a steel box magazine that can be modified to fit.

Centerfire Systems must have received a new shipment of them because they have been out for months.
