597 Magazine Disassembly Video

Here is a link to disassembling the 10-round magazine of the 597. There is no audio, so those without speakers won't be left out.



When cleaning, use a synthetic-safe cleaner. Also, use a dry lubricant, not a liquid. Liquids can attract grit, causing feed problems.

I did not film a takedown of the 30-round magazine. It is pretty simple. Use a screwdriver to slide out the base tab of the magazine and everything drops out.

The hammer removal is not included as I couldn't get satisfactory capture during the process. Check out Tsubaki's picture tutorial.

Silly me!
I was trying to hand squeeze the lower body, just like my Glock mags, to take off the base plate/cap.
