New CM-2 - a couple of questions...

Log in to see fewer ads
I just scored a new Izhmash CM-2 from an RFC member.
I have a couple of questions for the Russian Mafia here....

1. If I should decide to scope it ( "heresy, heresy" - sorry, I already have three rifles with target sights ),
is the rail on the receiver 11mm as I suspect?

What rings work on the rail?

2. Does anyone know where I may get a manual?
Mine didn't come with one.
Original would be best, but a photocopy would be OK if that is all I can get.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, only the REAR half of my receiver is grooved (the place where the target sight mounts).

The FRONT half is plain, with no groove. Hm.....

The B-Square adapter linked by AOM works just fine.
Here are a couple of pictures of my CM-2 Adult (same as yours) with the B-Square mount.

BKL Technologies, Inc - High perfomance scope mounts.

The suggested rail mounted to fully grasp the rear receiver groove
coupled with some extended rings may be a solution.

300 series- Rings & Mounts fitting 30mm Scope tubes and 3/8" or 11mm Dovetails

Offset Scope Rings - Model 257

Or, without the rail.
An extended 4" Unitized Cantilever Scope Mount

A BKL 254 is just what I need . ( If Gerald is reading this, he just fainted dead away...)

If only they were not out of business...

Thanks, sir.

Many thanks. Ordered a set.

They confirmed that BKL is "gone" and that,
once they are sold out of their BKL stock, there will be no more.
