Does it bother anyone else that our forum title (Russian/Bialthlon Basic) is spelled wrong? Or is this another spelling that I didnt know about.

Yes ... And, No.

Biathlon FAQ: How many a's are there in "biathlon"? - Colorado Biathlon Club

I'm not a computer guy.
But, if the spelling were corrected, wouldn't computer links be effected?

As far as links and a name change go, they shouldn't effect one another. The forum is assigned a number, and the name is just what its called. Russian/Biathlon Basic forum is 178, and it is only used for viewing the forum, threads are assigned another number and it is independent of the forum number.

For example:

rimfirecentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=178
This brings you to "Russian/Bialthlon Basic" forum.

rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1876712
This brings you to the "Forum Title" thread.

Makes sense to me.

Just sent an email to Mr.X to correct the spelling of biatlhlon to biathlon.

Or, to change the name of the forum to:

Russian/Soviet Rimfires & Biathlon Rifles/Sport

Mr. Lehman and mr_ouija,
Thank you for your input(s) ... just the push I needed to try to resolve the incorrect spelling.

If it were me, I'd say either fix the typo in the title and leave as-is or "Russian rimfire" forum would be a pretty good catch-all.

"Russian Rimfires"... I like that - simple, direct, concise.

But, I would like to include a reference to Biathlon.
Why? I'm trying to stimulate interest in biathlon sports
and, by default, the rifles that are used.

How about: Russian Rimfires & Biathlon

No, but since this thread is about spelling, they might be affected.

As stated above, links should operate exactly the same, since the name is not a part of the link.
