I actually found some at a local hardware store with the proper threads but they are phillips head. Work well after grinding them down to size.

Izh35m

I have had the burst situation also. Was using eley sport.......(it shoots it well).......rarely happens and is a good reminder to know where the pistol is pointing at all times. This has happened twice in a couple of years. But my walthers gsp has done that more then once.

Just a quick "heads up" to IZH35 users. I had a few doubles while practicing the other day. I am sure that it was the firing pin, which is not spring loaded and was full of grit. It would barely move at all when I checked it. After I flushed the firing pin assy thouroughly and gave it a light lube it moves freely in its hole. I'm pretty sure that a few more cleanings like that and it will be much better.
Just another example of how they come out of the box. Conversely, the trigger group arrived clean and seems to stay clean.

If it is very gritty you can use the factory supplied drift pin to drive out the firing pin retainer pin (bottom to top). The firing pin will drop right out and you can get all of the crud out. Observe the proper orientation of the pin and be sure to drive the retainer slightly below the top of the bolt.

thanks aom, I will give it a shot, I clean mine pretty good and still got some doubling but not as bad. I am going to try some new ammo as well.

Do you know of any other places on the web with IZH35 info?

Thanks again
