New product soon, any interest?? Ruger MK-II 22/45 grip frames!

Just beating the bushes right now, if there proves to be enough interest it will become reality in short order. new replacement grip frames for MK-II and 22/45 pistols, machined from aluminum using 22/45 magazines and 1911 grip panels. newly manufactured safety buttons and disconnectors to deal with the severe lack of availability will also be included.

If you're interested, sound off!

Sincerely,
Ken Bolin

I've hands too large for a comfortable, stable fit around my two Mark II 22/45 grips. Expect to attempt some modifications soon to maximize contact with as many angled facets of my hands as possible. Perhaps this coming innovation will help.

I would be very intrested. I compete with a 1911 so It would be great if I could make my 22/45 feel more like one life would be good.

Thanks! Keep the input coming!

Thanks to all that have posted so far, I'm going to begin the process on these things, rapid prototypes should be done in a couple weeks. Then we'll see about price points and retail cost. I'll be sure to keep everyone informed!

I'd be very interested in one. Price would be a big consideration for me though.

Me too. Also, what it looks like. But I'll definitely at least take a good look at whatever's offered.

Mighty interested. The too-slim factory grip frame is what keeps me from buying one. That and Broken Gun Ranch went out of business.

Howdy to Gau-2

A big howdy to GAU-2! Long time no see. You are always up to something good! Seems like the perfect match with the TAC-SOL uppers. Get your lower and a TAC-SOL upper and have an amazing pistol. Let us know when.

GAU-2 was one of the first nice people I communcated with when I came to RFC. He even invited me to go shooting to bad I could not go at the time

A great guy

The rapid prototype should be done in a few weeks folks! Keep the replies coming. I've added an adjustable mounting block to accomodate the varying tolerances in uppers, so it will fit tightly no matter the upper. I'm not sure of what actual retail price will be, but I'm aiming for <$150 for the grip frame alone. disconnectors and safeties TBD.

Sincerely,
Ken Bolin

Internals?

Yes, it will accept all factory 22/45 parts. Unfortunately, the ONLY two parts you can't get are the disconnector and safety, which is why I'll be manufacturing those as well.
