Winchester, Fed, and Rem manufactured 22rf ammo all are on my strictly adhered to verboten list.
However;
I have had good results accuracy & consistency wise results with Win white box 243 cal ammo as have other members.
Though I'm not fond of their bulk 22LR ammo, it's at a price point that makes it hard for most to complain. It's not very consistent, but I've actually had a lot more failures to fire with "better" ammo, primarily Eley.
As for centerfire, I've shot at least several hundred various rounds of Winchester without issue. I've still got 6-7 boxes of the NATO 9mm that was a steal during the ammo crunch. Shoots just as well as any 9mm I've purchased, and that's been a lot of brands.
I got 100 rounds of the bad stuff. tempting to pull it apart and repowder it. can't find small pistol primers. I got it from cabelas maybe they wood exchange it.
Seems like the 17 hmr recalls always center around the 20 grain bullets.
Think I was gifted a box of recall ammo, but it got run trough the pistol same day so not much chance the recall helps. Have the box with the brass saved in it, will have to check when I get home.
Just my luck - I bought 1200 rounds of the WW stuff between April and early June and immediately repacked it into 50 round boxes, so I no longer know the lot number.
Herter's made by Winchester for Bass Pro and Cabela's also has recalled lot numbers
