40 degrees with a light 10mph wind here in ND. Sun came out so I took a drive to see if any gophers were out. Ended up taking 13. The ol CZ 455 did its job.

In typical gopher fashion they ranged from 45yrd to 132yrd. At the 132 shot I had to give 1 dog for a full value wind.

Started with eley and then Hornady. Both 17gr. I like Eley better. Smells so so good.

Switched over to my VQ 10/22 convert and took another 43 tonight. Up to 201 now. Was put on to two new honey holes also today.

Numbers are low this year with a full on drought here. Actually funnier watching the gophers running in the field. They leave a dust trail a foot or two behind me it's so dry.

You would think as long as the hm2 and .17hmr have been around, the ammo manufacturers could solve the problem of split cases.
