Chopped a Mare’s Leg.

I bought my H001ML a little while back. My intentions were to shorten it at the time but that was before I started shooting it. I held off from shortening but my original plan kept eating away at me and it got so bad I found myself online with Buds getting another one on the way. Once the gun was showing shipped I started in on the original gun and here’s the new specs:

Overall Length 20.125 inch’s
Barrel Length 9.875 inch’s
Sight Radius 6.750 inch’s
Weight. 4.0 lbs.
Bullet Capacity LR 7 Rounds

I did everything at home with hand tools except for the front sight screw which will get done at a friends house that has the setup for it. I originally planned for a flat metal butt plate but went with just plan wood instead. I shortened the fore end back to the barrel band flush. Removing as much as I did from the butt did not effect my cheek weld position. I’m a short person with even shorter arms and really appreciate weapons of this nature.

After having my pictures kidnapped and held for a ransom by Photobucket I no longer deal with any picture providers so if you want a picture PM me and if you want to post the picture well that’s fine to.

Uh, gee, it kind of sounds like you turned a rifle into a handgun.
As I understand the law, that requires a special license from the BATF.
Please check with a knowledgeable attorney about the legality of what is described.

A Mare's Leg looks like a shortened rifle, but it is sold as a handgun, which has different regulations than a rifle.

A H001ML is a mares Leg. This gun started life as a pistol already and still is a pistol. As the thread title states “Chopped a Mare’s Leg” not made a mare’s leg which by the way can be done by purchasing a tax stamp.

I totally misunderstood, should have done research and didn't, and I humbly apologize.
