If you took measurements of the receiver hole spacing you would have something. ..

Well my EGW one piece rail came today. It fits just fine on the 700. That tells me the holes were drilled wrong on the talley base. Yes both bases are for 700 short action. I had talley on the phone and they would not admit their holes were off, but they did offer to ream the holes out, AT MY EXSPENSE.
Just something to keep in the back of your mind if you are thinking of ordering talley products. Midway has taken care of it with a full refund. YEAH MIDWAY!

This is one of the reasons I buy only Burris Signature rings. Problem w/h/b easily fixed, most likely.
