One at lasered 92 yards.
The other at 128 yards.
Had one lined up at lasered 158 yards. It left and I never got a shot.
Winds real calm. Practically nonexistent.

Naw,
I’ll stick with coyotes and smaller with this rig.

Saw a beautiful rEd fox in cut hay field this morning. Won’t shoot foxes. They are rare around here. Goat lots mainly that have goat dogs.
I have a game camera set up on a red fox den.
Checked it yesterday.
Go at pics but not pics I am wanting.
Moved camera a little higher on tree.
Got one of the pups with infrared at night. Not what I want. Good daytime pic of pups sitting up. Maybe I will get them.

Hay being cut here Big time.
Yotes better look out.
My little p shooter will be out in force. Lol

That little p shooter. Things seem to get awfully unlucky a lot when I point it at them.
Scope level helps on the longer shots.
Raise that rifle around side of hill. And not check scope level. You can be out a lot. Level wise.

Cheers.

I used to feel the same way about red fox. We never saw any in my part of the county though. Then one spring, a mating pair showed up in a neighbor's yard just down the road. We saw them often in the daytime, playing around that yard. Later they disappeared for a while, I think because they had a litter of kits. After that, "it was on"! Nobody with-in a half mile of my place with farm birds didn't start loosing their animals. Over the course of that year, one lost 9 ducks from a pen, my mom lost about 14 chickens. I lost 4. A neighbor one night had 36 chickens killed in the coop. We found dead chickens scattered along a trail from behind his place, leading towards the woods on mine.

I started calling them in at night from my front porch, and had success with that a while. Took me about two and half years of doing that occasionally, as well as being ready when they raided mine or my mom's place, also setting a few live traps and catching some that way also. I ended up taking over 14 of them in that time. It finally ended one early summer afternoon, when I spotted the female tending a new batch of kits. Took them all out, and the male left the area. No issues since.

Similarly, I was reluctant to shoot bobcats at my niece's farm. This is until they started killing the kittens belonging to the farm cats. I will shoot them now if I get the chance. Since I made that decision, they have disappeared. Smart SOBs
